Crude Illumination talk at ISEA 2016 Hong Kong

A talk at ISEA 2016 Hong Kong, about my crude oil projection work "Crude Illumination", which uses crude oil to sublimate dry ice (frozen carbon dioxide), illuminated and projected by an overhead projector.  The talk traces the genealogy of crude oil to the first crude oil well in the U.S., Drake Oil Well, and its relationship to light transmission, energy, and media.
